Update your existing TXT BIMI Record to EasyDMARC's Managed BIMI Solution

1. Access Your DNS Control Panel:
  • Log in to your DNS hosting provider's control panel using your credentials.
  • Locate the DNS management section or DNS settings.

2. Find and Delete Your Existing BIMI TXT Record:
  • In your DNS control panel, locate the existing BIMI TXT record associated with your domain, The record should have "default._bimi" as its Host or Name and the values should start with "v=BIMI1".

  • Select the option to edit the record.
  • Confirm the deletion when prompted.

3. Add a New CNAME Record:
  • Look for an option to add DNS records.
  • Select "CNAME Record" from the available record types.

4. Define the Host/Name for the CNAME Record:

  • In the "Host" or "Name" field, enter "default._bimi" (without the quotes). This specifies that the CNAME record is for BIMI.

5. Set the Value/Points To:
  • In the "Value" or "Text" field, you will define your BIMI record. Copy the value obtained from your Managed BIMI portal and paste it into the Value/Target section

Note: Don't copy and paste the value in the screenshot. Yours will be targeted specifically for your own domain.
Note:  If you're using Cloudflare make sure to turn off Cloudflare's Proxy Status.

6. Save the BIMI Record.

7. Upload your VMC or CMC certificate in Managed BIMI.

  • In order for Managed BIMI to get activated and your logo to be displayed in the outbound emails, you will also need to upload your VMC/CMC certificate to the Managed BIMI page:

DNS changes may take some time to propagate across the internet. Be patient and allow some time for the BIMI record to propagate and for Managed BIMI to be active.
