This guide outlines the steps to stop managing a domain in EasySPF and take control of your SPF record directly through your DNS settings.
Steps to Stop Managing a Domain in EasySPF
1. Navigate to the EasySPF Page
Log in to your EasyDMARC account and go to the EasySPF section for the domain you want to stop managing.
2. View the Raw SPF Record
Click on View Raw Record to display the SPF record for your domain.
3. Copy the Raw SPF Record
Copy the raw SPF record. This includes all the sending sources configured via EasySPF.
4. Access Your DNS Settings
Log in to your domain’s DNS management platform.
5. Update the SPF Record
Find the current SPF record for your domain. It should have the EasySPF include statement:
v=spf1 include:_spf.yourdomain_com._d.easydmarc.pro -all
Replace it with the record you copied from the View Raw Record section.
In this case:
v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ip4:132.188.57.221 include:spf.protection.outlook.com include:sendgrid.net ~all
6. Save the Changes
Save the updated SPF record. DNS changes may take some time to propagate globally.
Note: ensure that your domain only has 1 SPF record, in case your domain has multiple SPF errors you might encounter Permerrors.
Benefits of EasySPF
EasySPF helps simplify SPF management by consolidating multiple sending sources into a single, optimized record. It also allows you to directly manage your SPF record through DNS, offering greater control and reducing the risk of exceeding the 10-DNS-lookup limit imposed by the SPF standard. This is crucial for maintaining email deliverability.
By following these steps, you can stop using EasySPF while ensuring your SPF record remains properly configured.
