How Can I Change My DMARC Policy If the Record Is a CNAME obtained from EasyDMARC?

EasyDMARC provides two options to verify the domain that was added to the portal and started receiving reports to the EasyDMARC platform. The first option is to add EasyDMARC’s suggested TXT DMARC record for your domain and continue managing the DMARC record from your DNS zone. The second option is to replace the existing DMARC record with the CNAME record provided by EasyDMARC to activate the Managed DMARC solution which will allow you to manage the DMARC record directly from the EasyDMARC platform, including changing the domain’s DMARC policy.

Here are the steps to change the DMARC policy in case it is a CNAME obtained from EasyDMARC:

Step 1: Navigate to the Managed DMARC page under the Managed Solutions from the left sidebar where you can see what is your domain’s current DMARC policy.

Step 2: Select the DMARC policy you wish to implement.

Step 3: Click on the “Apply changes” button so the new DMARC policy is applied to your domain

DNS changes may take some time to propagate across the internet. Be patient and allow some time for the DMARC record to propagate.
