EasySPF Activated, but Policy Changes Aren’t Taking Effect
If EasySPF is already activated for your domain and you're attempting to change the SPF failure policy (e.g., from HardFail -all to SoftFail ~all) via the EasySPF dashboard, you may notice that the change does not reflect in your domain’s DNS records.
This occurs because the current EasySPF system does not have the capability to modify the SPF failure policy directly in your domain’s DNS zone. As a result, any change to the SPF policy must be made manually by accessing your DNS zone and updating the SPF record directly—specifically, by changing -all to ~all or vice versa.
Important Note:
If EasySPF is not yet activated for your domain, you can select your preferred SPF failure policy (-all or ~all) before activation, and it will be implemented accordingly in your DNS.
However, once EasySPF is activated, any changes to the SPF failure policy must be made manually in the DNS zone; these changes can no longer be made through the EasySPF dashboard.
Important Note:
The SPF failure policy (-all or ~all) does not influence the actual delivery of your outgoing emails. Email delivery decisions are primarily governed by your DMARC policy. Recipient mail servers evaluate the DMARC policy to determine how to handle messages sent on behalf of your domain (e.g., deliver to inbox, move to spam, or reject).
Therefore, modifying the SPF failure mechanism will not impact whether your emails are successfully delivered or not.
