DNSMadeEasy Integration
Combine the speed of DNSMadeEasy with the automation of EasyDMARC to accelerate email compliance. This integration connects directly to your managed DNS service, enabling automatic discovery and bulk verification of your critical business domains.
This guide will walk you through the process of connecting your DNSMadeEasy account to our platform. This integration allows you to manage your DNS records for DMARC, SPF, and other email authentication standards directly from your dashboard, simplifying your workflow.
Before You Begin: Important Prerequisites
To use this integration, you must meet two requirements:
1. Correct DNSMadeEasy Plan: Your DNSMadeEasy account must be on a Business, Corporate, or DNS-25 (and higher) subscription plan. The API access required for this integration is not available on "Small Business" or "DNS-5" plans. Please verify your plan within your DNSMadeEasy account before proceeding.
2. Primary User Access: You must be the primary user for the DNSMadeEasy account to view and generate API credentials.
Part 1: Finding Your DNSMadeEasy API Credentials
Follow these steps to locate or generate your API Key and Secret Key from your DNSMadeEasy account.
1. Log In to DNSMadeEasy: In a new browser tab, go to the DNSMadeEasy control panel at cp.dnsmadeeasy.com and log in to your account.
2. Navigate to Account Information: Once logged in, click on the Config tab in the main navigation menu. From the dropdown menu that appears, select Account Information.
3. Locate or Generate Your Credentials: Scroll to the bottom of the "Account Information" page to find the API credentials section.
○ If keys already exist: Your API Key and Secret Key will be displayed. You can proceed to the next step.
○ If no keys exist: You will see a checkbox labeled Generate New API Credentials. Check this box and then click the Save button at the bottom of the page. The page will refresh, and your new API Key and Secret Key will be displayed.
4. Copy Your Credentials: Securely copy both the API Key and the Secret Key
○ Important: The Secret Key is typically shown in full only at the time of generation. Make sure you copy it to a safe, temporary location before navigating away from the page.
Part 2: Connecting Your Account in Our Dashboard
Now that you have your credentials, return to our platform to complete the setup.
1. Navigate to the Integration Page: Go to the DNSMadeEasy integration settings page within your dashboard.
2. Enter Your Credentials: You will see two fields for your credentials:
○ Paste your copied API Key into the field labeled "API Key".
○ Paste your copied Secret Key into the field labeled "Secret Key".
3. Save and Test Connection: Click the "Connect" or "Save & Test" button. Our system will perform a quick test to verify that the credentials are correct and that your account has the necessary API access.
Confirmation
If the connection is successful, you will see a confirmation message, and the status will change to "Connected." You can now manage the DNS records for your domains hosted on DNSMadeEasy directly from our platform.
If you encounter an error, please double-check that you have copied the keys correctly without any extra spaces and confirm that your DNSMadeEasy plan includes API access.
