What does this mean: "Your DMARC record is missing the email address provided by our system in the "rua" tag! To access the full benefits of our platform, please sign up and follow the steps"?

This warning indicates that your current DMARC record does not include the RUA address provided by our platform. Without this address, we won’t be able to receive and process your domain’s DMARC reports into a more user-friendly format. Since DMARC reports are initially in XML format, they can be difficult to understand. Including EasyDMARC's RUA/RUF addresses will make it easier for you to monitor and secure your email domain effectively.

This issue can be resolved through two different ways:

  • Updating your existing DMARC TXT record with our RUA and RUF addresses.
  • Switching to our Managed DMARC solution with a CNAME record.

1 . Updating Your DMARC TXT Record:

If you prefer to manage your DMARC record through your DNS then follow these steps:

  1. Generate a New DMARC Record:

Use our DMARC Generator tool to create a new TXT record for your domain. This new record will include the RUA and RUF addresses provided by our platform.

2.   Replace Your Current DMARC Record:

Update your DNS settings to replace the existing DMARC TXT record with the new one generated from our tool.

For detailed instructions on updating your existing DMARC TXT record to EasyDMARC's provided TXT DMARC Record in the DNS, refer to this article.

     2. Switching to Our Managed DMARC Solution:

By upgrading to our Managed DMARC solution, we provide you with a dynamic DMARC CNAME record that you need to replace with your current DMARC TXT record.

This record automatically includes the necessary RUA and RUF addresses, ensuring you receive DMARC aggregate reports and enabling you to manage your DMARC record directly from our dashboard without manual updates.

Why Is This Important?

Including our RUA address into your DMARC record ensures you receive DMARC aggregate reports for your outgoing emails, which we parse them into more human readable format and classify them into 4 different sections. These reports are accessible under the DMARC Aggregate Reports section on our platform, giving you valuable insights into your domain's email traffic and security.
