SPF and DKIM setup for Help Scout

Help Scout's shared inbox, help center, and live chat software gives your team the tools you need to easily manage customer communications.

SPF Configuration

Help Scout doesn't support SPF alignment, so there is no need to add the mechanism of the source to your SPF record. Emails sent from Help Scout servers will now pass SPF validation using a variable envelope return path (VERP) address set to their servers.

DKIM Configuration

You do not need to set this up if you are using the default Help Scout Inbox Address (e.g support@yourcompany.helpscoutapp.com) or sending through your email provider instead. 

Here are the steps to configure DKIM for outgoing emails from Help Scout.

 

Once the configuration is done the outgoing emails will be DMARC compliant with the help of DKIM.
