How to Stop Managing a Domain in Managed DMARC

Follow the steps below to switch from the Managed DMARC setup to managing it through your DNS host.

Step 1: Remove the Managed DMARC Record

  1. Log in to your DNS provider.
  2. Delete the CNAME record with target value _dmarc.yourdomain._d.easydmarc.pro.

Step 2: Generate a New DMARC Record

  1. Log in to EasyDMARC.
  2. Navigate to Tools>DMARC>DMARC Generator
  3. Configure your desired DMARC settings and copy the generated TXT record.

Step 3: Add the New DMARC TXT Record

  1. Add a new TXT record in your DNS:
    • Name: _dmarc
    • Value: Paste the generated DMARC TXT record.
  2. Save changes.

Step 4: Verify the New Record

  1. Use EasyDMARC’s DMARC Lookup tool, to ensure the record is valid.

Note: DNS changes may take 24-48 hours to propagate. Regularly monitor DMARC reports for compliance.
